So! at 26 and a half, and having been on Facebook for a few years, I now find myself subscribing to a linkedin account. Social networking for the mature and career conscious. Is this the end of my carefree youth I ask myself?
I’ve accepted that I can no longer drink 3 nights in a row and sleep until tea time. Dance all night in high heels or get ID'd at Tesco, but am I really ready to switch poking and sheep throwing for such social elevation??? mmmm
Wikipedia sites LinkedIn as "LinkedIn (pronounced /ˌlɪŋkt.ˈɪn/) is a business-oriented social networking site", erm did I miss something? whose big idea was it to take the Champagne and Canapés out of Socialising and networking? I’m just wondering if the people you know on linkedIn are the people you would ever talk to in a "networking" situation. Much like many people’s Facebook friends that "like" everything they say but wouldn’t make eye contact if you saw them in the street.
At least there is no farmville on linkedIn, I swear if I get one more request I’m going to surrender my account, now to find out who I can throw a sheep at!
rain drops on roses and camp fire barbies, hiking and biking and taking of photies. cooking and drinking and chatting with friends...these are a few of my favourite things. white water kayaks and sitting in sunshine. red patent high heels and olives with good wine , old pubs and book shops, twitter and facebook, these are a few of my favourite things. when the storm breaks when the wines gone! when im feeling sad... i simply remember my favourite things and then i dont feel so bad!
